Teriyaki Burgers
A tasty Japanese take on the popular family favourite!
Preparation:
- In a plastic bowl, combine the breadcrumbs with the milk and leave to soak until all the liquid has been absorbed.
- Add the mince, onions, egg, salt and pepper and mix everything with your hands.
- Shape 8 hamburgers out of the mixture.
- Melt the butter in a frying pan and fry the burgers until cooked through.
- In a small saucepan heat the mirin, then add the soy sauce and sugar and simmer the mixture for 1-2 minutes to make the teriyaki sauce.
- Pour the sauce over the cooked hamburgers and serve on the burger buns with rocket, tomatoes and a bit of mayonnaise.
Useful tip:
You can also make these hamburgers using just minced beef.
