Sweet Chilli Sausages with Mustard Mash

A simple dish that the kids will love! The Sweet Chilli goes really gooey and sticky, delicious!

Preparation:

  1. Pre-heat your oven to 180°C. Place the sausages in a baking tin and roast until light brown. Pour over half of the Sweet Chilli Dipping Sauce, toss the sausages until coated and return to the oven.
  2. Once the fat has run out of the sausages drain and dispose of all but approximately 2 tablespoons of the Sauce. Pour the remaining Sweet Chilli Dipping Sauce over the sausages and place in the oven until sticky and golden brown.
  3. Whilst the Sausages are in the oven peel, chop and boil the potatoes until soft. Drain the potatoes and mash with the butter, milk and mustard until smooth and creamy in texture. Season to taste.
  4. Serve the sausages on the mustard mash, drizzled with the Sweet Chilli Dipping Sauce. It tastes great served with crunchy mange tout or brocolli.

Useful tip:

For a creamier mash substitute 50ml of the milk for 50ml of double cream

Reviews for Sweet Chilli Sausages with Mustard Mash

These were so popular with the family the extra sausages I cooked up to go in sandwiches mysteriously disappeared!! Rather than serve with Mustard Mash I chose to serve the sausages with roasted courgette, red pepper, onion and tomatoes seasoned with garlic and green chilli. When the sausages were cooked I poured some of the sauce from the dish into the plain mashed potato. Delicious!!
