Spiked Sweet and Sour Chicken
A delicious Sweet and Sour Stir fry with a hit of star anise and chilli.
Preparation:
- Heat the oil in a wok and add the chicken strips
- Stir fry for 2 minutes, then add the mushrooms and beansprouts and stir fry for a further minute
- Pour over the Sweet Sour Sauce and simmer for 1 minute
- Serve with rice or noodles
Useful tip:
To get a great crunch to your vegetables such as peppers and mange tout when you are stir frying, add 3-4 tablespoons of water to your wok while cooking... more
Don't overcook the beansprouts or they will lose their crunch
