Spiked Sweet and Sour Chicken

Chicken Sweet Sour Stir Fry star anise Prep time: 4 minutes 
Cooking time: 7 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 chicken breast (free-range if possible), cut into strips
  • 75g mushrooms- sliced
  • 50g bean sprouts
  • 1 Blue Dragon Sweet Sour Shot

Spiked Sweet and Sour Chicken

A delicious Sweet and Sour Stir fry with a hit of star anise and chilli.

Preparation:

  1. Heat the oil in a wok and add the chicken strips
  2. Stir fry for 2 minutes, then add the mushrooms and beansprouts and stir fry for a further minute
  3. Pour over the Sweet Sour Sauce and simmer for 1 minute
  4. Serve with rice or noodles

Useful tip:

To get a great crunch to your vegetables such as peppers and mange tout when you are stir frying, add 3-4 tablespoons of water to your wok while cooking... more


Don't overcook the beansprouts or they will lose their crunch
