Crispy Deep-Fried Peanuts
These are the perfect nibbles when you're entertaining guests, they're superbly moreish!
Preparation:
- Heat the oil gently until about 130’C. Add the peanuts and deep-fry until fragrant and aromatic, being very careful not to over cook or cook too quickly – this results in a bitter taste.
- Remove them with a slotted spoon and drain on kitchen towel.
- When ready to serve, toss in ½ tsp salt and ½ tsp five spice, and the chilli flakes.
