Tips on an Asian style BBQ

Make some yummy Oriental side dishes to compliment your BBQ - try Sichuan noodles - make a dressing with 2 tbsp of each balsamic vinegar, Chinese chilli oil, caster sugar and 1 tbsp sesame oil and Dark soy sauce, mix well, and toss through cooked egg noodles with toasted sesame seeds and sliced spring onions - add chopped chillies for a bit of fire!

A spicy take on a potato salad - try adding English mustard powder, Dark soy sauce and a small dash of sesame oil to the mayonnaise dressing, and tossing it through boiled new potatoes with sliced coriander, spring onion and chopped red and yellow peppers.

Try this simple BBQ marinade for chicken thighs - place finely chopped garlic and ginger in a freezer bag with soy sauce, shaoxing wine and chopped spring onions. Marinate the thighs in the bag overnight and then cook carefully over the flames until they are well done and tender. Yum!

Celebrate Thai New Year with Blue Dragon

Thai New year is an important festival in Thailand. It is a public holiday and people celebrate this very hot time of the year by splashing each other with water. Enjoy your own Thai new year celebration at home by cooking a Thai feast for friends and family. Why not cook a delicious Thai curry using our curry pastes, coconut milk and fish sauce. Alternatively, try Som Tam, a crunchy and delicious green papaya salad.
