Winter Melon
Used mainly to create a delicious crystallised sweet called petha in India and puhul dosi in Sri Lanka. It is round or oblong in shape and has an 'frost-like covering of powder on its skin, hence its name. Also known as: ash gourd, wax gourd, preserving melon.
