Vietnamese Mint

Vietnamese Mint

This plant is not actually a mint plant, but widely known by this name. It has narrow, ponted leaves with dark markings in the centre, but not every leaf bears this marking, even on the same plant. It is essential in the making of laksa soup. Also known as: laksa leaf, phak phai, phrik maa, chan chom, hom chan (Thai), rau ram (Vietnamese).
