Soy Bean


Soy Bean

The only pulse that contains protein. They are one of the hardest beans when dried and need around 15 hours of soaking time and long cooking before they are edible. Soy beans are used to make bean curd, soy milk, and fermented products such as Japanese miso, Chinese salted black beans and soy sauce. Also known as: soya bean, wong dau, mao dau, hak dau, tai dau (Chinese), daizu, eda mame (Japanese), thua lueang (Thai).
