Sea Cucumber
Shaped like a cucumber, it is sold dried and requires many days soaking and repeated scrubbing to clean out its digestive system. There are varying sizes and qualities, the black variety being inferior and cheaper. Also known as: sea slug, sea rat, beche de mer (French).
