Sake


Sake

A fermented rice wine that is the national drink of Japan. There is sweet sake and dry sake; the former is considered superior. When being drunk as a beverage, it is almost always drunk warm. When used in cooking, it is used as a marinade and added to dishes to tenderise, add flavour and to mask fishy odours.
