Red Dates

Red Dates

Introduced from India and Malaysia to China, over one thousand years ago. Because of their red colour, in China they are a symbol of luck and happiness. They are used in savoury and sweet dishes. They are small and have a wrinkled red skin, when dried. Also known as: Jujube (Chinese).
