Longan
These look very similar to Lychees once peeled. However, instead of a pink skin, the longan's skin is smoother, more brittle and pale broawn and the flesh not as white as that of the lychee, is every bit as luscious and in my opinion, sweeter and more fragrant. They are known as 'dragon's eyes' by the Chinese as the seeds are visible through the transleucent flesh.
