Kaffir Lime Leaf

The fragrant leaves the kaffir lime are used in Thailand and other South East Asian countries to give a heady and incomparable perfume and taste to dishes. The glossy green leaves grow in pairs on the thorny bush, and fresh or frozen leaves are better than leaves preserved in brine. Also known as: makrut, som makrut, makroot (Thai).
